Growing Pains

By: Rabbi Yisrael Baron Moses had the historic role of leading the Jews out of Egypt. He was also chosen by G‑d to be His personal messenger to deliver the Torah, His word, to the world. This was the most important communication of all time. If this is the case, why did G‑d choose Moses for these rolls if Moses had a speech impediment? Pidyon Haben

Image
Mazal Tov! At Chabad of Sunny Isles Beach, we celebrated a Pidyon Haben last week. Every Jewish boy has a Bris on the eighth day, but did you know there is a special celebration for the firstborn boy when he turns thirty days old?  It is called a Pidyon Haben.  As the Mitzvah is prescribed in the Torah, the firstborn boy is redeemed for five silver coins from the Cohen. This is a commemorative of G-d sparing the Jewish firstborn during the final of the ten plagues in Egypt. For more information http://sunnychabad.org/pidyonhaben

Rivkah is the author of "Creating a Life that Matters, " a book she wrote for her only ...
